What a day.... 14" of surprise arrived overnight. Wake-up call from Adam at 7:30 came just in time. Second earliest Bridger Bowl arrival of 2011. Big line at powder park. Then the lifts started moving and it was AWESOME. Do no wrongo snow. boooyahkashhhhhhhhhhhha! Did a few High T laps, then hit Bridger gully twice (video soon). Shut down briefly on our next ridge hike. Too many people eating it for the ski patrol to catch up. Hike was closed for one High T lap. Then a hike south over to Slaschmann's which had a pleasant 15 minute line... heard it was cresting the hill earlier that day.
It's amazing what a difference there is between skiing in fresh powder and other conditions, especially blower boo boo booyah snow we had monday. Effortless; yes. Potentially hazardous decisions in other conditions become no-brainers.
Cold temps all week and warmer ones tomorrow... who knows.
